”Mum’s the Word”: Wednesday, May 28^th, noon-4:00 OR Monday, September 22^nd, noon-4:00 with Wendy Congdon.   Class fee: $30.00.   We are pleased to welcome local pattern designer, Wendy Congdon, from “Truly Materialistic”, to share her techniques with us!   Learn Wendy’s quick method of making this beautiful dresdan plate block. Great for jelly rolls!

“Learn to Quilt” Beginner class: 2 day class, Thursday, May 29^th and June 12th, noon-4:00 with Helen Cook. Class fee: $30.00.   Learn the all of the basics of rotary cutting, sewing and quilt top construction.   Make your first quilt with us!!!

”Easy Street”: 2 day class, Wednesday, June 4^th and 11^th, noon-4:00 OR Thursday, September 4^th and 11^th, noon-4:00 with Wendy Congdon. Class fee: $40.00.   Another “Truly Materialistic” design!   Wendy has designed a versatile quilt with over 100 different layout options....all using the same simple block!   Never make the same quilt twice!   With Wendy’s easy directions, you will quickly take 20 fat quarters and create your own “masterpiece”.   Stop in to see her sample!   

 
Easy Fabric Painting with Janet Judson:   Saturday, June 14^th, noon-4:00 OR Tuesday, July 22^nd, 10:00-2:00 OR Wednesday, August 27^th, noon-4:00.   Class fee: $20.00.   Janet is so much fun!   She supplies all the paints for you to “experiment” with, and you just have fun!   You don’t need to know how to draw or paint, you can trace your designs and color them in!   Janet will also show you various ways to finish your “work of art”.    Beginner-friendly class!

 
“Antique Christmas Memories”: Thursday, June 19^th, 12:00-4:00 with Helen Cook. Class fee: $20.00.   Join Helen as you learn the techniques necessary to make this wonderful holiday quilt.   Quarterly quilt kits are available for this “block of the month” style quilt, and we have a sample in the shop.   If there is interest, Helen will offer more classes to explore even more techniques!

Hand Quilting: Thursday, June 19^th, 9:30-11:30 OR  Thursday, September 18^th, 9:30-11:30 with Judith Ivan.   Class fee: $20.00


Fun with Curves!:   2 day class, Monday, June 23^rd and July 7^th, noon-4:00 with Helen Cook.   Class fee: $30.00.   We call this quilt the “potato chip quilt” because you can’t stop with just one!   It is so easy, yet looks complex....only you need to know how quickly it goes together!   Stop by to see the sample.

 
Fabric Dying:   Tuesday, June 24^th, noon-4:00 (rain date, June 25^th) OR Thursday, August 21^st, noon-4:00 (rain date, August 22^nd) with Janet Judson.   Spring is here and that means it’s time to go outside and dye with Janet!!!   This is so much fun!    Janet supplies a wide variety of dye colors for you to play with, and you will custom dye at least 20 fat quarters of your very own!   Don’t miss out on this class, it only happens in the summer and it fills FAST!

Mary Sorenen:  Mary Sorensen is coming Monday, September 8th!  We will provide detatil as we get them but call if you are interested.

It’s a Wrap!  Saturday, September 13^th, 10:00-1:00 with Nikki Towsley.   Class fee: $18.00.   These amazing bowls are perfect for gifts, bread baskets or use them to decorate your home, using coordinating fabrics.   Fabric strips and clothesline are all you need to sew up these wonderful bowls.   Nikki will teach you to make a round and oval bowl in class.   She will also offer tips on how to make other shapes, handles and lids.   Beginners are welcome!

Beginning Machine Quilting:   Monday, September 15^th, 10:00-3:00 with Sandy Voiken.   Class fee: $40.00.   We love to have Sandy teach at our shop because her students always learn so much!   Sandy will walk you through all of the important tips and tricks involved in machine quilting.   Learn about straight quilting, free motion quilting as well as useful information about thread, batting, marking and so much more!   A must if you have quilt tops just waiting to be finished.   Beginners welcome, but please know how to run your sewing machine!   This is the only beginning class that Sandy will teach this fall and winter, so sign up now!

 
Advanced Machine Quilting:  Monday, October 13^th, 10:00-3:00 with Sandy Voiken.   Class fee: $40.00.    For those of you who have taken the Beginning Machine Quilting Class, or have a basic knowledge and experience with free-motion quilting.   Sandy will guide you through the techniques needed to achieve all of the beautiful quilting designs we all admire.   Soon you will be adding feathers, wreaths and other free-motion designs to your quilts.   This is Sandy’s only advanced class this fall and winter, so sign up now!

Dear Jane Club:   Always the 4^th Tuesday of the month, 6pm-9pm with Shelley and her fellow “Janiacs”.   We are always welcoming new members to this club, where we help each other complete our own “Dear Jane” quilts.   Each month we will work on a block or triangle and you will improve ALL of your quilting skills.   Shelley’s completed quilt top can be seen during the meeting, but she doesn’t leave this “masterpiece” at the shop!!   Stop by to see what we’re up to!   For those who want to work on a block:   May’s block is H-4 and the triangle is Bottom  Row 12.   Bring your machine, templates and fabric.
